GSSJC Girl Scout Sews to Serve Flood Affected Animals

People weren't the only ones affected by recent flooding in Houston and surrounding areas. Animals were affected too! But thanks to Jalynn, a Girl Scout Cadette, now these animals have cover cloths to keep them warm and dry.

Jalynn organized an afternoon sewing service event at Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores, and with the assistance of other girl scouts and volunteers was able to teach basic sewing and provide Texas Wildlife Rehabilitation Coalition (TWRC) with the much needed materials. Jalynn spends a lot of time volunteering with the organization where we know her creativity is much appreciated.

Thank you Jalynn and the other girls and volunteers for showing our community what the Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council is all about! We also want to send a special thanks to the staff at Jo-Ann's who facilitated the event.
