2016 Annual Meeting Rewind

As the room was called to order and attendees took their seats, it was apparent that the 2016 Annual Meeting would be one to remember. This year, the Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council was proud to introduce Anna Maria Chavez, national CEO, as our keynote speaker, who touched on the state of girls and the future of Girl Scouts.

It looks to be a bright future for GSSJC--and all Girl Scouts for that matter! During the event, we were also proud to introduce Jean Janssen as our new Council CEO, and next year's GSSJC Board of Directors.

To all our speakers, participants and attendees--thank you for making this year's meeting a success, and for your continued participation in Girl Scouts!

Volunteers and staff enjoyed the fruits of their labor after a long morning of setup.
Over 200 Girl Scouts, volunteers and staff members attended the meeting at Camp Agnes Arnold.
Anna Maria Chavez spoke in depth about how her Girl Scout experience contributed to her success.
GSSJC Alumni Sarah Hernandez inspired girls with her story of success.
Next month she graduates from Rice University with her undergraduate.
Dr. Helene Sheena spoke about the impact of receiving her First Class. Her troop was
one of the first troops in Florida to earn the Gold Award.
Outgoing and incoming CEOs Mary Ryder and Jean Janssen were surprised with
bouquets bought by Girl Scouts in  attendance.
Guests were delighted with a special dance presentation put on by the Green Starlettes.
