Girl Scouts of the USA wants you to Stand with Girls This International Women’s Day-- and there are plenty of ways to do so.
This March, we honor women who have paved roads, made great discoveries and changed the future forever. The world is a better place with girls in it, and we are working to create opportunities for girls to succeed.
Did you know that one of every two adult women is a Girl Scout alumnae? That includes 58 percent of the 114th Congress, 75 percent of current female senators, 53 percent of women in the House of Representatives and every female secretary of state in U.S. history was in Girl Scouts. We're making a difference!
You don't have to be a troop leader to volunteer. Girl Scouts need individuals, families and friends to donate their time and skills to make sure our community programs run smoothly. Girl Scout volunteers share in the fun and excitement as girls experience new challenges. As a guide and role model, our volunteers help girls develop their fullest potential. Whether you can give a few hours, a few weeks or a few months, volunteering with Girl Scouts is flexible and fun.
And don't forget! When you're raising more than 1.9 million Girl Scouts nationally, every penny counts. So send a girl to camp, help fund a scholarship, or donate towards general programming. No matter what you choose, you’re helping girls achieve their fullest potential.
