November 2013 Media Wrap-up

Every day Girl Scouts all over our Council are recognized by local media for their service projects, awards or even just for doing a good deed. We love seeing smiling Girl Scout faces in newspapers and magazines, online on publication's websites and even on TV from time to time. Starting this month, we'll be sharing some of our media highlights with you for the past month. You can click on the link to view the article online.

News
The Pearland Journal shared the United Way of Brazoria County presented GSSJC with a check for $29,249. The check represents the allocations and designations from the 2012 campaign that are being directed to the agency’s programs during the current fiscal year.

Ultimate Spring and the Cypress Creek Mirror both reported on Troop #13514 who recently earned the Bronze Award, the highest honor Junior Girl Scouts can earn. They hosted an "Adventures in Camping" festival where they taught more than 200 girls hiking basics, how to build a fire and more. Congrats girls!
