After more than 100 years, it's no secret that the Girl Scouts have perfected the art of making s'mores. From summer nights under starry skies to roasting marshmallows in the microwave, the s'mores recipe has come a long way since it was first documented in the 1927 Girl Scout Handbook.
National S'mores Day is celebrated every year on August 10, and we love sharing this fun holiday with our Girl Scout sisters!
Last year, we even started a special "Unconventional S'mores" board on Pinterest in honor of the holiday. Over the past year we've compiled a board of more than 100 unique s'mores recipes that takes graham crackers, chocolate and marshmallow and uses them in fun, new ways.
Check out our board and try your hand at a new s'mores recipe this Saturday in honor of National S'mores Day! Share your photos with us on Facebook and Twitter or email them to firstname.lastname@example.org to be included in a future issue of The Golden Link!
Happy National S'mores Day!
