People Who Make the World a Better Place
Want to feel really good about being a Girl Scout? Click play on the video above, which is from a round table discussion GSUSA recently held in partnership with TIME Magazine and AT&T to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech. It's pretty neat to hear people from outside the organization sharing their thoughts on how Girl Scouts builds girls into leaders.
You can also click here to read an article in the Aug. 26, 2013 issue of TIME Magazine on Girl Scouts' commitment to inclusivity and building girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place.
It kind of makes you want to yell from the rooftops..."I can't wait to be a Girl Scout!" right? If you aren't already a member, join now! We'd love to have you as a Girl Scout in San Jacinto Council as we kick off another amazing year.
