Guest post: Troop #21019 visits Great Wolf Lodge

Summer is a great time to be a Girl Scout! Not only do you get to go camping at day, twilight or resident camp...you also have the opportunity to travel with your troop on on a destination. In this guest post, Girl Scout Lia B. of Troop #21019 shares her troop's summer trip with us.

My troop traveled to Grapevine, TX to Great Wolf Lodge for a weekend of swimming, sliding and fun in the sun. Great Wolf has a lot of activities to participate in there were the water activities, the scoops kid spa and the wolf pack pass that featured a build a wolf session where you make your own wolf and dress her, photo shoot, ice cream scoops and fund in the Wolf Pack Arcade. I participated in everything mentioned and can’t wait to go back for more!

My troop paid for the trip with the proceeds from Fall Product and Cookie Sales. I sold both, and I was a 100+ for Cookies. My troop feels it is very important for girls to have great memories and be able to tell of our adventures in Girl Scouting.

Have you or your troop gone somewhere cool this summer? Share your story with us on the GSSJC blog! Email Miranda at menzor@sjgs.org for more information.
