We all know any Girl Scout worth her Thin Mints always has a great big Girl Scout smile stashed in her pocket, but what does she keep in her purse? In this ongoing blog series we'll ask Council staff, board members, volunteers and more to share their "Purse-onality"!

As president and owner of Engineered Construction Specialists, Inc., Mary Jo Poindexter is a wealth of knowledge for Girl Scouts interested in the engineering field and STEM careers. Described as a "perfect role model for girls" in her 2006 Thanks Badge nomination, Mary Jo has served at many levels of Girl Scouting. From becoming a leader for her daughter and serving at the service unit level to working on an Engineering, Science and Technology Day for the Council and serving as a member of the Board of Directors, Mary Jo has experienced it all.

Her Girl Scouting experience and professional expertise have made her a vital member of the Properties Committee as co-chair. In addition, she also serves on the Council's Executive Committee, and she is secretary for the Board of Directors. Read on to learn more about Mary Jo's "Purse-onality"!
