Girl Scouts honor Veterans Day

Girl Scouts in San Jacinto Council show their patriotism throughout the year by participating in flag retirement ceremonies, sending care packages to military personnel stationed overseas, doing community service projects to improve their communities and so much more.

This Veterans Day a few of our area troops shared photos of the activities they took part in over the weekend:

Troop #10519 from Magnolia celebrated Veterans Day at their elementary school.

Troop #15098 performed a flag ceremony with veterans and fellow scouts to thank veterans in the community for their service to our country.

Brownies in Troop #26189 enjoyed participating in the Dickinson Veterans Day Parade.

Finally, Girl Scouts in Pine Burr Service United participated in the Nacogdoches Veterans Day Parade over the weekend.

Did your Girl Scout troop take part in an event to honor veterans? Share the photos with us on our Facebook page. And thank you to all the veterans in our Council and across the United States for their service to our country!
