The B.I.G. Event Wrap-up

When we said BIG, we didn't realize how BIG The B.I.G. Event would end up being! More than 7,000 people attended the event on Saturday - and we sure hope you and your troop were part of it!

From crafts and activities galore to climbing a rock wall, enjoying birthday cake with Houston Mayor Annise Parker and live music by Adelaine, there was no shortage of fun to be had at The B.I.G. Event.

We did our best to capture as much of it as possible and wanted to share some of our shots from Saturday in this photoblog. There's plenty more pictures over on our Facebook page.

If you and your troop attended, send your photos to communications@sjgs.org so we can include them in The Golden Link. Some submissions we've already received are included below.

We've got LOTS of photos to share, so click "Read More" to view them all.

Rumor had it the wax hands was one of THE most popular
booths with girls.

The Rock Wall was another huge attraction - this
was right next to our booth, and we never saw the
line die down!

Thank you Phoenicia for donating the delicious cupcakes!

Afternoon entertainment! Cameron D. with Adelaine.

Our favorite part of the day had to be seeing what a celebrity Daisy has become! Lots of girls asked to have their picture taken with our special blog correspondent who has been visiting our Council in anticipation of The B.I.G. Event

We're excited about this: Daisy said she had SO much fun Saturday, she's decided to stick around our Council instead of heading back home to Savannah! Girl Scouts definitely made her feel at home Saturday, so look forward to lots more "Where's Daisy?" posts in the coming months.

We hope you had a blast at The B.I.G. Event Saturday - thank you for coming out to celebrate 100 years of Girl Scouting with our Council. We can't wait to get started on the next 100!
