Recently six Senior and Ambassador Girl Scouts from our Council had the opportunity to participate in a workshop with Anthropologie, a self-described lifestyle brand that imparts a sense of beauty, optimism and discovery through its products. The girls worked on designing a window display for the Anthropologie store in Highland Village in Houston.
The Girl Scouts learned about Anthropologie's approach to design, using natural and found materials to create interesting installations that tell a story. For the fall 2012 displays, GSSJC Girl Scouts worked on painting rocks, wrapping twine to be painted bright orange and creating chains of teal circles that will all be hung in a dramatic display that will be debuted later this month.
