GSSJC presented the George R. Brown Convention Center with the Laser Plaque Community Award this afternoon. This award is given to a community building, business or non-registered adult who has given service to the Council or a service unit for many years. It is the third level of community awards - and well deserved after all their help with the 52nd National Convention last November!
Houston Mayor Annise Parker took time out of her day to stop by and say some kind words about Girl Scouting and how it benefits Houston and its surrounding communities.
Thank you to all who attended - and a special thanks to the George R. Brown staff for sharing some delicious Girl Scout cookie-inspired treats.
