For Troop #12472, an Easter Egg Hunt for their neighborhood started as a great idea for their Bronze Award. Seven years later, the troop is still hosting the annual event for local children. Leah E., Maggie K., Nikki G., Sarah V. and Laura S. from Troop #12472 and Lisa S., Andrea C. and Emilee B. from Troop #12725 worked together to make this year's Easter Egg Hunt exciting for all those participating.
The Girl Scouts served breakfast to families as they arrived for the Easter Egg Hunt, then divided the children into three age groups so parents had plenty of photo ops. Other activities included games, face painting, dyeing Easter eggs, petting live rabbits and more. The Girl Scouts even called in a favor to their friend, the Easter Bunny, who gave out special prizes for children who found a special egg in each age group and gave every child a free kids meal from Chick-fil-A.
Troops #12472 and #12725 said an egg-stra special thank you to Target for donating $25, Walmart for donating $25, and Chick-fil-A for donating the kids meal. These companies generous donations helped make the Easter Egg Hunt possible.
