Cookie Booth Challenge Winner Announced
In early March, we challenged Girl Scouts in the Council to decorate cookie booths held during Girl Scout week for the 100th anniversary and send in their photos. The response was overwhelming as troops shared their festive booths. From handing out party favors to cookie booth customers to wearing party hats and inviting customers to sign giant birthday cards, GSSJC Girl Scouts did a fantastic job of displaying their Girl Scout pride at their mini birthday parties.
Choosing a winner was no easy task. There was lots of late night deliberation and cookie crunching behind the scenes as the judges came to their decision. After much debate and consuming several sleeves of Thin Mints, a winner was chosen: congratulations to Girl Scout Troop #26144 on being named the winner of the 2012 Cookie Booth Challenge!
There were tons of great submissions, but the judges agreed Girl Scout Troop #26144 did a wonderful job of celebrating the 100th anniversary with their festive decorations, party hats and special party guests. They also did a great job displaying their troop's cookie goal of selling 1,700 boxes and sharing with cookie booth customers that their troop will donate part of the proceeds to the League City Animal Control.
March 23-25 marks the final weekend of the 2012 Cookie Sale! Still need a few more boxes for the freezer? Click here to find a booth near you. Thank you to everyone who has supported GSSJC this cookie season!
